THIS COURSE PREPARES STUDENTS FOR ANIMAL PRODUCTION I AND II. IN THIS COURSE, YOU SHALL LEARN ABOUT THE BASICS OF ANIMAL SCIENCE. AT THE END OF THIS COURSE,
- YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECRIBE THE ANATOMY AND EXPLAIN PHYSIOLOGY OF ORGANS SYSTEMS OF ANIMALS
- BREED ANIMALS SUCCEFULLY AND
- CONTROL ANIMAL DISEASES
TRAINEE ASSESSMENT
Trainees shall be subjected to end of year final examinations set by TEVETA.
10.1 Continuous assessments…………..40%
10.2 Final Examinations …………………60%
10.3 Pass Mark ………………………….50% (Theory papers)
……………………………70% (Practical papers)
11.0 ATTENDANCE
The candidates must have an attendance of minimum 85% to be eligible for the
final examinations
12.0 PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
12.1 Trainees failing two (2) or less modules can proceed to the next year and
can carry the failed courses as long as these courses are not prerequisites
to courses in subsequent years
12.2 Trainees failing three (3) modules will not proceed to the next year but can
repeat the three modules.
12.3 Trainees failing in four (4) modules during the year must repeat the entire
year.
The course is determined to equip students to:
- operate different types of computers,
- be able to use different types of software effectively and efficiently.
- The course introduces the students to computers and its systems and application programs.
